In a famous anecdote, Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan and his Cambridge mentor G.H. Hardy shared a taxi whose number was 1729. Hardy remarked that it was a “rather dull” number but Ramanujan countered that it is the smallest number that can be written as the sum of 2 cubes, in 2 different ways: 13 + 123 = 1729 = 93 + 103.
The Ramanujan Polo features this taxicab number embroidered in white on the front of the shirt. On the back, an embroidered cube reminds everyone of this unique number. 100% cotton, ribbed collar, short sleeves with ribbed cuffs. True Navy with white embroidery.
